Daily Dmz Tour From Hue ( 1Day)
Vietnam’s Demilitarized Zone, or DMZ, is the area around the former border between North and South Vietnam. Historically it was a narrow band of terrain extending from the Laos border to the coast, five km on either side of the Ben Hai River, roughly on the 17th parallel north latitude.
The area saw heavy fighting in the war, and ruins of old American military bases still exist. Even if you’re not interested in the history, the area has some spectacular mountain scenery and rugged jungles.
While the actual border was marked by the Ben Hai river, most historical sights (i.e., American bases) are along Highway 9, which runs parallel to the river several km to the south. This road runs to the Lao border and continues onward.

It is a delightful and very affordable way to spend the day and learn about the food and culture of the area. The guests don palm-leaf conical hats, go to the fields to hoe land, plant vegetable, water crops and accomplish various other duties. After fulfilling their job, they go to a small kiosk near the field to taste Vietnamese cuisine made of Tra Que vegetable and other specialties. “It was a truly unique experience learning about soil management, crop rotation, fertilizing and the management of pests. The variety of herbs and vegetables was amazing.”

Paradise Cave Tour 1 Day
Thien Duong (Paradise) Cave, labeled the world’s most beautiful and magnificent cave when it was discovered in the central province of Quang Binh in 2005, has been open to tourists since September 3. Located in the middle of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in Quang Binh, the cave was formed around 300-400 million years ago, surrounded by underground streams and rocky mountains.
The cave is 30-100 meters wide, with the widest point measuring 150 meters, according to the British Caving Association, the Governing Body for Underground Exploration in the UK. There are two stalactite pillars, each about five meters high and a rock arch around 100 meters wide. Take a deep breath before you go further to prepare yourself for what is ahead, or you will think you have stepped into a primitive forest that aged into stalactite. Stalactites that look like temples, cranes with their arched necks looking up to the sky and a pine tree with hundreds of branches are dotted throughout this underground world. With a little imagination, there is no end to the shapes to be found in the cave. What’s more, around Thien Duong Cave are dozens of stalactite mounds 30-50 centimeters tall, resembling Buddha statues, some of them with diameters of more than a meter. One stalactite structure looks like the communal house of the Central Highlands people.
Howard Limbert, a member of the British Caving Association, says Thien Duong Cave might be the longest dry cave in Asia.
Phong Nha Cave 1 Day
The cave system of Phong Nha park was discovered by a Frenchman in the late 19th century, with the magnificent Phong Nha cave being the first to be surveyed in 1990 by a team of cavers who recognized its tourism potential.
In 1992 the cave was given the title of the worlds longest river cave with a length of 7.729km and the first 1.200 meters of the cave was opened up for public viewing. It is only accessible by boat and features an underground river.
The caverns that are open to tourists are quite close to the mouth of the cave. Just as you enter, to the right, the boat puts out on a landing giving on to a set of stairs that leads to two caverns, or grottos. At 400 million years of age, these are some of the oldest limestone formations in the world. The curiosities produced when water trickles slowly through limestone for eons are visible everywhere. Intricate stalactites, stalagmites and ground formations are on display everywhere — it’s truly an underground wonderland.
